Lighting/Lamp Production

With Steel framework, Rattan, Wicker, Reed, Cotton and Silk enhanced material as the only materials used to make these splendid items, they are as friendly to the planet as they are to the eye. From the rustic to the modernized. These spectacular designs would be equally as fitting in any theme of décor. Whether it’s for the children’s bedroom or the newly designed living room, the versatility of these designs, has no bounds.

Maybe you have an unfurnished corner of the lounge? Maybe you require some subtle lighting for the entrance hall? The height of these lamps ranges between approximately 250mm to 550mm for the Counter-top variety and 700mm to 1.8m for the Floor-standing selection. So it’s not a case of “Where to put it?” Simply, “How best to show it off?”. In addition to the versatility of these designs, you can always adjust the lightings’ ambience by experimenting with different wattage or coloured bulbs.

This is another business in its infancy. Also three years established, this modest sized family have a true determination to succeed. Even Mum & Dad are ‘weavers’ (see images). They have approximately twenty full-time staff, in three very purposeful locations. The metalwork shop, Mum and Dad’s house and the finishing room behind the shop.

I’m assured that not only do the Bugs (Moths, as known by the Thais) dislike the taste of Rattan, Wicker & Reed but their teeth cannot penetrate the Steel either. Totally reassuring. I have also been informed that the reason for not using 100% silk for the inner linings, is for one thing, its absorbency of light, and the other, its lack of durability against heat. You’ve probably realized by now that all natural/organic woods and the like, require some form of ‘soaking’ & ‘oven-baking’. These materials are no exception, though given the size of the usable material and the eliminated risk of infestation, it’s considerably less time than for that of Bamboo, Monkey wood or Mango wood.
